Maple Story Vector IMAGES REMOVED
Ok, let’s set some things straight first of all: I’M NOT A MAPLE STORY PLAYER! I do not play Maple Story. I own a Mac and I dare not go through BootCamp to play it anyway. It’s a cute game, nonetheless. But, sorry, no, I don’t play, so don’t ask. World of Warcraft would be more of my thing, and I don’t even play that. Haha! ^_^
I was incredibly bored at work yesterday… and my boss was giving me gas just because he had a bad day in general. (He usually likes to take things out on me for some reason). Well, earlier in the day before I took off, my roommate needed help with making a new MS avatar for him. So, here it is on the left. Simple… plain, yadda yadda.
Well, I believe Maple Story characters are cute. I am quite drawn to sprite-work and pixel art in general (although I can’t do any myself, unless I was really THAT bored). I needed something to vector. I wasn’t feeling like doing a photo at the moment, so I decided to vector his… oddly… dressed… MS character. So, without tracing or Live Trace in general, here’s what I have so far…
So yeah… I dunno, I think it should be done by today or tomorrow. I would have to say my favorite part about him is his hair, haha. And the background is matching the original backdrop to his avatar. I obviously have a lot more work to do. I have to darken his skin, etc etc… so we’ll see how that goes.
I usually don’t do something this cutesy… this is far too cutesy for my style to begin with. So, I might do a photo next… I have to lok for a good one to do. I’ve been trying to so a vector of Kuma, but, there’s something with animals and I that don’t mix when is comes to vector. It’s sad because all I did was draw animals when I was little up ’til about 5th grade.
Anyway, I hope you like it!
Back to work!

An Apollo-Addicted Sick Cat on Taco Tuesday… Phil Harrison Resigns from Sony… Apartment Life… You Know…
I got pounded with the common cold Saturday and influenza decided to pay me a nice visit on Sunday and Monday. I’m better today, just a little nauseous or light-headed with a bit of congestion. I’m at work by the way. Yeah, I decided to come in. I figured it shouldn’t be a hard day. I mean, my projects aren’t exactly head-splitting, so I should be able to withstand the misfortune of my current state of health.
I should be alright to enjoy Taco Tuesday at El Torito tonight with Lovey. I would have to withdraw from getting myself a drink sadly. Their martinis aren’t great anyway, and I’m a bit apprehensive to their mojitos… so, bleh, I’ll just deal with soda. But, I do heart their tacos. I always give a nice tip to them.
On the Nerd spectrum of myself, I’ve been addicted to Apollo Justice Ace Attorney (4th to the Ace Attorney series, following after Phoenix Wright) since I got it on the release day. Adam and I have this thing where we alternate turns between turnabouts (cases). Since I’ve been sick, he let me play the whole way through to keep myself entertained while I was home alone. I’ve played it just about non-stop, even right before I left for work today. I didn’t want to bring my DS to work since I’m actually on the final trial day, and I’m actually two testimonies from the ending of the entire game. I didn’t want to get a gaming-itch while I was in the office, so I just left it on the couch. I’ll just beat it when I get back. I’m pretty sure Adam can’t wait to get his hands on it. I would’ve finished it off yesterday if I wasn’t so down wit’ the sickness. (Wow, total geek paragraph, ahem).
Need I mention that Super Smash Bros. Brawl is coming out soon?
Oh, and Phil Harrison has resigned from Sony.
Guess who’s taking over in his place?
Mr. Ridge Racer!
Riddddddddge Racer!
Remember that one
^_^ Mr. Hirai. … Should be better than Kutaragi, yes?
Damnit… My mouse died. (Not the animal, my notebook mouse, lol). I was going to do some random vectoring today, but usually my art turns out crappy when I use the track pad. I’ve been kinda losing my creative skill lately probably because my work requires me to have that switch on for so many hours each week, my right hemisphere goes kaput. It’s pretty much there. It’s kinda upsetting at times I really want to do a vector portrait of something, but I don’t have enough inspiration and usually give up halfway. It’s ridiculous. I might go back to the ol’ sketchbook maybe. We’ll see.
So, the apartment-hold is currently minus-1 roommate. He “officially” moved out on Sunday… kinda. A good 30% of his stuff is still there… 15% of it being his bunk bed and some furniture, and the other 15% being all the little knick-knacks laying around the place. We’re currently trying to get another roommate to replace him. If luck is on our side, our other roommate’s girlfriend might be moving down from NY. We’ll see how that works out, it’s kinda exciting. Sooner the better really. He’ll be happy.
Oh… about a week ago, Adam and I were walking to the car to go on a midnight munchies run to the gas station. On the walk, there were horrifying screams coming from an apartment two buildings away from ours. (Mind you we live in a pretty nice area). There was a couple fighting, mostly the guy screaming obscenities. The girl was screaming her head off — “NO!” “PLEASE!” “HELP!”… etc etc. He was supposedly beating her or something because we heard stuff being thrown around.
It got so bad that it actually hurt to hear her screaming that I actually teared up. Adam had his cell phone on him and dialed 911. We waited for a cop to show up, and two ended up coming into the complex. We told them what building and which apartment they were in. They ended up actually walking into the apartment which sadly ended up being empty. The couple left somewhere. I saw the guy walk outside which is when Adam and I bolted and I overheard him go back into his apartment and asked his girlfriend if she just wanted to go take off somewhere with him. So they didn’t get to talk to them. It sucks. Since then, we haven’t heard any fighting. I’m pretty sure they’re red-flagged.
I really hate seeing and hearing situations like those.
Alright, time for me to update my Word Count Journal…
Do some visual maintenance on Nexus Gaming…
And other stuff…
And I’m out.
