Cynical Sticks
March 11, 2008
To any of you who know, I have this great deal of sarcasm. It’s a joking sarcasm where I’m never serious unless I’m aggravated. I would usually give a blank stare and go back to what I’m doing.
While I was at work yesterday, bored out of my mind initially after getting my software installed AND working (thank God!) I started drawing a stick figure that somewhat resembled me. Then I ended up drawing to stick figures sitting at a table together. I’m on my laptop and the other guy is talking to me, supposedly a friend.
Then, last night, I started messing around with the scenario thinking about what the dialogue would be. I typed one sentence for the guy, like “hi” and left my side blank. I realized how I figured out how I was going to do it. Adam and Carey thought it was funny because it fit who I was: silently sarcastic.
So, I think about doing one a day, or one every time I blog. It’s always going to be the same panel same to people, same setting, although I might change it up here and there. And mind you, this whole comic was born out of an inside joke, hence the title “Cynical Sticks” so it’s okay if you don’t find them funny. Lol. I don’t care.
