Oh, the Inconsistencies!

March 18, 2008

[THE CURRENTLIES]
Mood / Tired and ill
Food / Quaker Oats
Listening / A plane passing overhead & Carey’s (roommate’s) punk rock blasting through the wall.
Location / The apartment living room couch.
Hair / Up in a bun of nonchalance
Downloading / A new web browser called Camino for my Mac (knowing that I already have Flock, Safari, Firefox, & Opera; I’m testing for the best two)
Destination / Ontario Airport around 6pm

I realize how my blog post topics aren’t very liquid, instead more sporadic with a few outliers: this includes “hi” & “I’m bored”. I don’t know why. Maybe because I really treat my WordPress as if it was a real journal, not necessarily here to update on news or anything of the sort. You get general updates on moi. That’s it. Interesting enough?

Here’s a spot of randomosity: a comparison between two of me (along with shitty quick-style Photoshopness)!

compare-02-07.jpg

Picture on the left: mid sophomore year in high school (so technically, it’s 2001, not 2002). Picture on the right: December of last year. Yeah, the orange hair? Uh… let’s just say my sophomore year was the one (and possibly ONLY) year that I went hair-dying crazy. I guess the color you see here is the “Gwen Stefani” of all that dying. My hair was coming out all sorts of colors. It seemed like forever until all that color grew out. My hair used to be jet-ish black until high school. Nowadays, I haven’t dyed my hair because I don’t want to kill my roots anymore than I have. The color has changed due to dying and constant sun exposure. Now you can see a reddish brown in it when I’m in the sun when is used to just be black.

And what the hell am I wearing around my neck in the left picture? That necklace… I don’t recognize it. I’m looking through all of the other photos taken of me that day… and I still can’t put my finger on it. But, my gawd, I look like a high school girl-girl and look at that Nokia cell phone I’m holding in my hand. That thing is gigantor! It’s the size of my house phone! … Man, I can recall how “kewl” I felt holding that phone back in the day… with it’s annoying midi ringtones.

Whuh… my smile’s changed a bit. I guess I can thank myself for not wearing my retainers like I should’ve (:sarcasm:). And, my eyebrows are thicker? LOL … Well! I dunno, to me it’s like the only thing that changed was my hair (and other things that happen because of growth ^_^). Is that a good thing? What’s hilarious is that I haven’t growth an inch in height since then. Just peachy.

Anyway, I woke up late again (cliché start, I know). I kinda fell in and out of sleep in the morning between 11am & 2pm. Lazy weekend, I suppose. It feel good to catch up on my rest though. I’ve lost a lot of it last week. I guess I feel a little more energized, but still lethargic.

I’ve made mental plans to purchase/adopt another dog in the not-so-distant future, yet when affordable: another Japanese breed, because once you’ve got a Japanese breed, you’ve basically had all Japanese breed. Funny how the Shiba Inu happens to be the smallest of them all with the biggest macho attitude. My luck?

I’ve been wanting to get Kuma (a Shiba, of course) a friend to have at home so he’s not so entirely bored when we’re all busy doing our own thing. Although, we might be getting a cat — well, my roommate might be getting a cat over the summer when his girlfriend finally moves here. Anyhoo, the breed I’ve been looking into is called the Kai Ken, or Taro Dog (“Tiger Dog”). Looks like a Shiba, but always a dark, black splotchy color, and a couple to few inches taller, including a better attitude, lol.

Bear like isn’t it? A very rare breed, I would have to say. Took me an hour to find a consistent breeder. Closest one? Michigan.

Kuma is from Missouri…. *sigh*
