About Me

‘ello!
The name’s Kim!
I am 21 years old.
I am Filipino
(with Chinese & Spanish in my blood).
I have lived in Southern California
since I was born.
My perception on life would probably
make someone argue with me.
(It’s not that they’re bad ideals,
they’re just different).
I’m an adventurer.
So much that I can turn a search for
a parking spot
into quite an escapade.
I’ve been blogging randomly since about 2002.
(That’s almost 5 years of blogging)!
If you read the old stuff,
it’s the closest thing that readers have
to watching me grow from
high school up ’til now.
I cared about my future enough that
I moved out when I was 17.
It wasn’t an ego trip.
An ego trip definitely wouldn’t have gotten me
Where I am now.
School is important to me
as long as I’m going for myself
& not for the sake of others.
My relationship with my family –
(even if it feels a little broken due to
inevitable circumstances) –
is a lot stronger now that I am on my own.
Don’t do me emotional harm,
I can hold a good grudge.
I’ve been playing piano for almost 13 years.
I played violin for a couple.
Sang in choir for a few.
I know the basics for tap,
jazz, and swing dancing.
I love music.
It’s an everything for me.
I enjoy it to the fullest.
I’m such a tech-geek.
Next to many video game systems,
I probably own the most gadgets
in my apartment.
(Talk about a high electricity bill).
I’m a good cook when I want to be.
I’m usually too lazy to make a nice meal.
When I get into it, I can cook up something delicious.
I like adding weird suffixes to words
to make them sound funny on purpose –
like “-uru” & “zorz” –
it always makes somebody laugh.
I’m currently a graphic designer.
It’s an easy job somewhat.
It’s one of those skin-thickening careers.
I own a small business called Nexus Gaming.
We video game tournament hosting
in Southern California.
My partner and I have run it for two years so far.
We’re still small, but we’re doing good!
I own a Shiba Inu named Kuma.
He’s my first dog ever.
He’s awesome. I love him.
I would certainly say I wouldn’t go
for any other breed.
(Great practice for having kids though).
I used to work in a video game store.
Why? I love video games.
I’ve played them for most of my life.
Most people would call it an immature hobby.
I don’t think it is as much as it can be with some people.
I love photography.
I’m not a pro,
But I enjoy capturing candid moments
because they always seem to bring back
the positive memories.
I also love capturing the things I love.
